In December 2006, Special Working Committee of China Village Development Promotion Society and APCRD China Committee, etc. together formed a “Research Evaluation Group of Famous China Village Influence”, and selected 300 villages with more influence in China, with 500 famous villages as the first research evaluation targets. Among the most influential 10 villages, Nanshan Village, Yantai City, Shandong Province was listed.
