Electric Power
Nanshan Electric Power Company is a subsidiary invested and established by Nanshan Group, with four enterprises including Donghai Thermal Power, Nanshan Thermal Power, Electric Power Overhaul Company and Power Transmission & Transformation Company under it. The Company mainly undertakes the supply of power and heat of the Group Company. At present, the Company owns 10 sets of cogeneration units with the installed gross capacity of 2000MW, ranking the first place of Jiaodong Peninsula. It also has 6 transformer stations of 220KV, 9 transformer stations of 110KV and transmission line of nearly 130km. The annual power output of the Company exceeds 14 billion kWh and the quantity of power supply accounts for over 1/3 of the total quantity of the whole Yantai area. Rich and steady electric power resource provides strong basic advantages and reliable electric power guarantee for the development of each industry of Nanshan Group. Meanwhile, the Company undertakes the peak regulation task of Shandong Grid actively and organizes load gridding with all efforts during the busy hours of power utilization, which effectively releases the strain of power supply of Shandong Grid. Consequently, the Company plays an important role of public power plant.
In the aspect of energy saving and emission reduction, the Company seriously carries out scientific outlook on development, actively adopts the measures of energy saving and emission reduction, and persists in the core development strategy of creating energy saving and eco-friendly enterprise. Currently, all the main production indicators of the Company have reached or exceeded the top-ranking standard of domestic similar equipment, in which, all the 7 units of Donghai Thermal Power adopt the direct seawater cooling method and save a large quantity of fresh water resources. All units of the Company are equipped with flue gas dedusting and desulfurizing devices and the indicators of fume emission fully meet the latest state standards on environmental protection. The production and living sewage can be wholly recovered and reutilized after treatment, which achieves the goal of zero discharge of sewage. All the ashes, residues, etc. generated during the production process can be comprehensively utilized by brick manufacturing plants, cement plants, etc., which realizes sustainable development.
During the 12th Five-year Plan Period, Nanshan Electric Power Company will stick to the Nanshan spirit of “advocating contribution and pursuing excellence” continually and the enterprise tenet of “safety first, profit priority”. Being struggling, strong and practical, we will build the Company into a first-class large thermal power company with strong strength, strong competitive power, high shareholder return and fine company image as soon as possible.
Natural Gas
Nanshan Natural Gas Company is under Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd., mainly responsible for the matching, transmission & distribution, safety management and business services of internal industrial, commercial and civil natural gas of the Group Company.
The natural gas sources come from the Bonan Terminal of China National Offshore Oil Corp. and Longkou Primary Station of Yantai Zhongshi Natural Gas Co., Ltd., with dual sources into Qimu Island Gate Station of the Company. The pipeline networks of natural gas extend all over Donghai and Nanshan industrial parks. It is predicted that civil consumer households will increase to over 100,000 in the following years with rapid growth.
The utilization of natural gas will play a promoting role in adjusting the energy structure, improving the investment environment, reducing the environmental pollution and promoting the economic development of Nanshan.
